Entscheidend ist vielmehr eine realistische Verbindung von Interesse, Fähigkeiten und beruflichen Perspektiven. Wer etwa Informatik wählt, sollte neben guten Berufschancen auch Freude am analytischen Arbeiten mitbringen. Gegen ein Studium können finanzielle oder praktische Gründe sprechen; eine qualifizierte Berufsausbildung stellt dann eine gleichwertige Alternative dar.
